Diamond Jubilee Mugs
To celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee an exclusively designed pottery mug has been made by the Stoke on Trent pottery. The mugs will be transported to the festival site via the 200 year old Trent & Mersey canal and historic Anderton boat lift using the classic narrow boat 'Lindsay'. Repeating the traditional route used for the working boats serving the potteries, delivering salt from Anderton and returning with finished pottery goods for export via the Weaver. These exclusive mugs, available for sale at the festival, bear the Diamond Jubilee emblem designed by young designer Katherine Dewar winner of the Blue Peter competition who will be our special guest on Saturday.
